Legally Apply for Time with Your Kids at Xmas
Want time with your kids at Xmas time?... Applications must be issued on/before Friday November 14, 2025.

URGENT REMINDER

Do You Want Time with Your Kids at Xmas Time?

DO NOT WAIT UNTIL NOV. 14th!!!

Each year the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia  provide practitioners with a cut off date for urgent applications for any matters relating to children to be heard prior to Christmas.

Often there are last minute disputes about where the children are to spend Christmas or their Christmas holidays or disputes as to travel with the children at this time.

If the dispute cannot be resolved and an Order is required, then this year, the Court has indicated that any such Applications must be issued on/before Friday 14th of November, 2025.

If you require an urgent Order to be heard before Christmas please contact the team at Freeman Family Law. We pride ourselves on our work being carried out quickly and efficiently.

We will be posting a further blog next week setting out what you need to know about family law matters over the Christmas break, and how to contact us if there is an urgent matter. Most offices are closed over the Christmas period but we maintain a hotline over that period if matters can’t wait until offices re-open.
